Our adult classes are designed to help you reach your goals, no matter where you’re starting from. Our adult students come from diverse backgrounds, and they come seeking with a wide range of desired outcomes: better physical conditioning; learning self-defense; improving mental focus; and de-stressing from life’s challenges. Some come with a goal of earning a Black Belt, an accomplishment of extraordinary mental and physical stamina. Some earn their Black Belts and realize that their Journey has only just begun. Some have already earned a Black Belt in another style and start the Journey again. Whether you begin your journey at 4 years old or 64, there’s always more to learn, understand, and practice.
Shaolin martial arts is not only a physical conditioning workout, but also a mental one. Our dojo is a sanctuary as you work to improve your health, focus, confidence, and discipline while practicing with a diverse and supportive community of like-minded individuals. When you become a student, we work with you to understand your goals, challenges, and limitations, and each workout is customized to allow you to work at your level toward your goals.
The skills acquired at our dojo carry beyond the walls of the studio - improved mental focus and concentration, better physical health and conditioning, improved stamina and energy are all valuable skills when dealing with the day-to-day stresses and anxieties at work, in the classroom, or at home. Shaolin is more than just a physical self-defense system, it is a way to learn about living.

Yes, martial arts can be for young children! Our tigers classes provide the high-energy fun and life skills kids need for their early elementary school years. Each class starts with fundamental skills and exercises based on the Shaolin Five Animal system, and moves into action-packed drills that develop each student’s skills.
The values of self control, self discipline, patience, respect, and honesty are introduced into the fabric of every class, helping each child to learn the confidence they will need to become successful in school and in life.
For kids in elementary and pre-middle school, our dragons class is a fast-paced and action-packed session of martial arts fundamentals, self defense, and fun, with just a little bit of good natured intensity and competition built in.
Students learn more about the values of self control, self discipline, patience, respect, and honesty, while developing solid physical and self-defense skills. Students learn conflict resolution, improve the ability to follow directions, think and act independently, and take risks with confidence.
