Dear Students, Families, and Friends:
May is a time when we celebrate the new growth that’s the hallmark of the Spring season, and with the onset of better weather, we look forward to all the fun that summer will offer us — camps, vacations, outdoor activities, and of course, kung fu! We have much to look forward to in the summer and beyond, and it’s a great to time to renew our martial arts practice and its foundation in the principles of the Shaolin Five Animals: Tiger (Self-Control), Snake (Respect), Leopard (Honesty), Crane (Patience), and Dragon (Discipline).
We’ll spend time each week this summer focusing on what the animals can teach us in both mind and body. Don’t forget that students can take unlimited group classes during June, July, and August to get in some great practice time as well as take advantage of our upcoming fun events. We’ll also have some awesome Five Animals stickers designed by Sensei Joe that students can earn by demonstrating the Shaolin principles.
This summer will also be a time to prepare for our Demonstration and Celebration to kick off our 20th year since Senior Masters Steve and Lisa founded our studio in Pittsburgh...
