February Welcomes the Year of the Tiger!
The celebration of the Lunar New Year is one of the biggest celebrations in the world and one of the most important Chinese holidays of the year. The holiday follows the phases of the moon at the end of January and early February. This year, the Lunar New Year starts on February 1 with the new moon and ends on February 15 with the full moon.
Each year is represented by one of the animals of the Chinese Zodiac. The Tiger represents strength, energy, and focus toward achieving one’s goals. The holiday is a time to dispense with things that may hold you back in order to make room – symbolically or literally - for new things to come that will bring prosperity and good fortune.
We look forward to celebrating the Year of the Tiger with you on February 12th in all of our classes. We thank you for continuing to train with us, and we wish our entire community health and good fortune in 2022!
